Mike Davis, chief executive officer and director of design at DFD, announced the promotion of Andrea Friese and Tom Cady, NCARB to principal.

"The dedication and tireless efforts of these two individuals is laudable; the firm is pleased to recognize their accomplishments with promotion to the principal group," stated Davis at a champagne toast held to honor the individuals.
Andrea Friese brings nearly a decade of operations and management experience to the firm. Since beginning with DFD in 1998, she has risen through the ranks and most recently has been responsible for operations management, revenue projections and project staffing. Friese notes that firm owner Mike Davis' staunch commitment to employee's personal growth and development has motivated her to achieve success both personally and for the firm.
Tom Cady contributes more than twenty years experience to DFD. Serving as project director in charge of construction administration, he works closely with the QA/QC program, team coordination, concept and project design direction, and ensures adherence to budget and schedule. As a specialist in quality assurance, Cady is responsible for code compliance and review and trains staff accordingly, thereby guaranteeing the proper application of regulations throughout the project. Cady is a 1974 graduate of California Polytechnic State University and is a registered architect in Arizona and California.
