Affiniti Architects Plans Net Zero Community
This planned Lake Worth community will feature homes that utilize zero energy consumption by featuring an overall community power generation component.
BOCA RATON, FL, January 07, 2009 /Architecture PR News/ -- Affiniti Architects is planning a community of 250 residences that will have a net energy consumption of zero in Lake Worth. Each residence will be part of an overall community power generation component in addition to utilizing one third of the amount of water of the average home. Featuring a variety of contemporary styles and ranging in size from 1,100 to 2,100 total square feet, homes will be LEED certified. Site vehicular access will be for only non-traditional personal vehicles, while traditional vehicles must be left outside the walkable community. For the convenience of future residents, the community will be located adjacent to a proposed mixed-use center, including retail and office space.
