BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI, January 21, 2009 /Architecture PR News/ -- It was only natural when Dominick Tringali Architects of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., teamed up with Simonini Builders in Charlotte, N.C., awarded 2006 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine. In it, Simonini Builders was described as a world-class innovator. Professional Builder credits the company as being a world-class operation because of their fierce employee loyalty, sales volume rivaling a mid-sized production builder and customer satisfaction ratings which are 13 percent higher than FedEx. Siminoni Builders was also Americas Best Builder in 2002, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders and Builder Magazine.
The various projects that Dominick Tringali Architects has committed to design for Simonini Builders thus far have created $25 million in out-of-state construction costs. Our relationship with Simonini Builders began 18 months ago, said Tringali. In addition to North Carolina, Dominick Tringali Architects has recently designed other communities in Oregon, Iowa City and Indianapolis. The company is not only surviving Michigans weak economy, but they are expanding their office and plan on hiring 15 percent more in new employment. In the beginning of 2000, DTA devised a five-year plan outlining the companys goals both internally and financially. With 2005 complete, the company is thrilled to see its plan come to fruition with national expansion and work in five new states. Though many companies have been hit hard by Michigans changing economical condition, DTA grew internally by hiring three additional staff members, and externally by balancing a work load of designing the most unique custom residential homes within metro Detroit (some estates ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 square feet!) to also designing and developing communities outside of Michigan.
The Peninsula Neighborhood, created with Kemper Associates in Iowa City, was so successful that the development was awarded Best New Residential Development for 2005 by the 1000 Friends of Iowa, a statewide organization that promotes responsible land use. This development created $5 million in out-of-state construction costs. Pulling in profits from out-of-state work created additional positions in Michigan for Dominick Tringali Architects.
The key to Dominick Tringali Architects success is their strong, unique office culture. The company has earned three Metropolitan Detroits 101 Best and Brightest Companies awards. They also received national recognition in the construction industry from Pro Builder magazine by being awarded 100 Best Companies to Work for.
