One Thousand Ocean Nears Finish Line
One- of- a- kind, Atlantic Ocean- to- Intercoastal luxury condominium approaches home stretch in Boca Raton, FL.
BOCA RATON, FL, November 15, 2009 /Architecture PR News/ -- LXR Luxury Resorts continues to adhere to its construction timeline, which means that the new, ultra-luxury oceanfront condominium that everyone is talking about - One Thousand Ocean - is approaching the home stretch.
"That's wonderful news for our future residents who are looking forward to taking occupancy this season," said Jamie Telchin, LXR's president of development. "We are working diligently with the city and our construction team to make this possible."
According to LXR's Senior V.P. of Design & Construction Steve Harbin, this November there are many more visible signs that the iconic, seven-story, nautilus-shaped structure is nearing completion. Removal of the protective blue film on the windows and sliding glass doors has commenced. The Ocean Club is already painted and the flooring is in place. The electrical rough-in is finished and lighting installation is about to start. Plumbing will be hooked up in this amenity area as well, with the trim added somewhat later.
"Four of the seven floors are almost finished, in addition to a portion of the residences on the fifth floor," Harbin reported.
The front entrance construction activity is also moving ahead on schedule. Harbin expected that installation of the driveway pavers and colored concrete sidewalks will have begun in early November, along with the Ipe (exotic hardwood) decking being installed in select areas of the arrival courtyard. Moreover, the cypress wood ceilings and the porte-cochere's glass ceiling will be up.
The central fountain is expected to be operational in about a month and signage will start to be installed in early December.
The pool deck is another area that "wows" anyone taking a hard-hat tour of the building. Back in August the pool area was excavated, concrete poured and grading of the deck began, as well as the finish out of the private cabanas. "We started surfacing and finishing the pool in October and some of the wood decking and concrete paver work has also been started," Harbin pointed out.
Crowning the pool deck will be its beautiful landscaping. Work is expected to finish there before the end of the year.
"This ocean-to-Intracoastal property is one of a kind. It was created specially for its peninsular site and would be hard to duplicate anywhere else," Telchin remarked. "One Thousand Ocean's sales success is a testament to its prime location on the Boca Raton Inlet, just south of the Boca Beach Club and across from the main resort. Also adding to its desirability are the high-end features and finishes, and the exceptional lifestyle for those of our owners who elect to enjoy Boca Raton Resort Premier Club privileges."
The boutique building features 52 residences, including stunning Residences, Penthouses and one- and two-story Beach Villas that "live" like private, single-family oceanfront estates. Prices are from $3 million to over $15 million.
