Super Stud Building Products Unveils The EDGE Drywall Framing System
Super Stud Putting the Framer's Needs First with its latest and safest drywall framing system, The EDGE
CLAYTON, MO, March 14, 2010 /Architecture PR News/ -- Super Stud Building Products, Inc., the Northeast's premier steel-framing manufacturer with 37-years experience serving the design and contracting communities, has unveiled its new drywall framing system, The EDGE. The EDGE features an innovative design that not only sets new standards for performance, but also new levels of safety for the framer.
"The EDGE is the first drywall framing system designed with the framer's needs and safety taken into major consideration," said Ray Frobosilo, CEO and founder of Super Stud Building Products. "Traditional drywall metal framing has sharp edges along the length which could cause injuries on the jobsite. Super Stud has addressed this issue by eliminating at least 95% of these sharp edges. By incorporating a closed triangular lip to the stud, we created a stronger flange and what we believe is the safest drywall framing system available today."
The EDGE has been awarded one patent and several additional patents are pending. The EDGE is UL approved for use in one, two, three and four hour wall assemblies and also meets every criteria as spelled out in ASTM C645 and C754.
"The EDGE is the future of drywall framing," said Frobosilo. "It is easy to handle and install, allowing for minute adjustments in alignment. And because The EDGE is manufactured exclusively using 40KSI steel it is easier and more reliable to screw into. The EDGE will change the way the industry evaluates drywall systems."
Initially, The EDGE will be manufactured and available from Super Stud Building Products in the Northeast. Later this spring, Safe Guard Building Systems, located in Hattiesburg, MS, will license and manufacture The EDGE in the South. Licensing inquiries are invited.
