YRA Design Scores PRISM Awards from Gold Coast Builder's Association
YRA Design, an award-winning architectural firm, was the recipient of five PRISM awards during the Gold Coast Builder's Association (GCBA) annual competition.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL, September 30, 2010 /Architecture PR News/ -- The award-winning architectural firm, YRA Design took home "Gold" and "Silver" PRISM honors at the annual competition presented by the Gold Coast Builder's Association (GCBA) in August.
Formerly Yates, Rainho Architects, YRA Design received "Gold" recognition in three categories: Pre-construction Architecture of Mid-to High-Rise Condominium for Sale, Pre-construction Architecture of a Single-Family Home and Custom Single-Family Home Specialty Room.
The PRISM Awards, hosted by GCBA's Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) recognizes builders, developers, architects, planners, interior designers, landscape architects, sales and others who have demonstrated sales, marketing, building and design excellence.
Judged by industry experts, the award competition is one of the most prestigious in the South Florida area.
The firm's two "Silver" awards were in the "Pre-Construction Architecture of Commercial Space and Residential Remodeling Architecture.
YRA Design is headed by partners Denis A. Rainho and Kermit C. White and has achieved notable recognition in GCBA's PRISM competition having been the recipient of 30 awards over the past seven years.

Pre-Construction Mid & High Rise Condominium
A "Gold" honor was received for the firm's design of "The Modern", a 24-story luxury condominium with 84-units. The property design maximizes its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, downtown West Pam Beach and the Island of Palm Beach.
Pre-construction Architecture Custom Single-Family Home
The firm's design of an oceanfront custom estate received the "Gold" award. The single-family, private residence includes a grand 16,570 square foot, two-story home and a detached two-story guest house "cottage" interconnected by a covered breezeway totaling 23,795 square feet of roofed area.
Custom Single-Family Home Specialty Room
YRA's design of a two lane bowling alley as an integral part of an 8,050 square foot, one story "Italian Villa" inspired home earned a "Gold" PRISM award. The custom home, built on a south Florida river front location , also includes a detached guest cottage, an expansive pool overlooking the riverfront with a tanning ledge, a detached spa and a 2-boat slip with Jet Ski drop off.
Pre-Construction Architecture of Commercial Space - Office
YRA Design received a "Silver" award for pre-construction of a two-story commercial building highlighted with Mediterranean style architecture. The design requirements included the ground floor space for a 5,000 square foot restaurant and the ability to adjoin a 4-story, 88-room boutique hotel in a later development phase.
Residential Remodeling - Major Overall Knockdown-Renovation
In the remodeling category, the firm received "Silver" recognition for the renovation of a 4,864 square foot, private community single family home. While only increasing the home by 224 square feet, the renovation included re-organizing the home's living areas including the master suite and bath area along with expanding the library and family room and remodeling the kitchen.
