Donald Liss Recognized for Leadership in the Healthcare Industry
Donald Liss celebrates 26 years of professional excellence
ENGLEWOOD, NJ, March 10, 2010 /Architecture PR News/ -- Donald Liss, Managing Director of the PM&R Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare administration.
A seasoned veteran in healthcare, Donald Liss possesses 26 years of practiced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. As managing director of the PM&R Center, Dr. Liss is responsible for managing all company operations, including those pertaining to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Additionally, Dr. Liss continues to teach at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and has organized lectures and conferences in the tri-state area and on the national level. He was recognized in the America's Top Doctors publication. Having been a resident in rehabilitation medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center under his brother's direction, he has benefited from a broad spectrum of clinical and academic opportunities to hone his skills in diagnosis and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. He is a sports consultant at a local day school and high school, and has committed himself personally to regular exercise and wellness. He has been an assistant clinical professor of rehabilitation medicine at Columbia University in New York since 1983.
Dr. Liss initially became involved in his profession through his attraction to the entire spectrum of physical medicine and rehabilitation, and the notion of helping patients in physical distress to regain functionality and quality of life. The highlight of his career was creating an outpatient center where patients in pain could receive comprehensive treatment. Dr. Liss holds an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, from where he graduated in 1979 with distinction. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and completed his internship in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He received a bachelor of arts in chemistry from Columbia University and earned a postgraduate degree in medical education, clinical training and research from Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Some of Dr. Liss' professional affiliations include the Medical Society of New Jersey, New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Pain Society and American College of Sports Medicine.
