A/E/P Maguire Group Expands Focus on Higher Education Design
New Hire Helps Maguire Grow Architectural Design Business in New England
BOSTON, MA, July 13, 2011 /Architecture PR News/ -- As it continues to expand its operations throughout New England, A/E/P Maguire Group announces the hiring of George Delegas, AIA, as Principal Architect to take advantage of the firm's experience in providing architectural and engineering services to higher education clients. Maguire is pleased to welcome him to its Boston area office.
Mr. Delegas has over 30 years of experience as an architect. For over half his career, he has specialized in design of academic projects including K-12 and higher education, overseeing multiple capital projects, and skillfully managing the entire design and construction process for Northeast and international clients. Projects include colleges and universities, private and public schools and libraries, housing / hospitality facilities and religious buildings. Mr. Delegas also has assisted the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) with needs assessments of over 1,800 public schools. Mr. Delegas will expand Maguire Group's efforts in the academic market sectors with projects related to new construction, renovation and expansion.
Past higher education clients include, in Massachusetts, the University of Massachusetts, Bristol Community College, and Hellenic College and Holy Cross; in New York, St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary College and also Keuka College; in Florida, St. Leo University; and overseas, The American College of Greece in Athens, and the American University in both Bulgaria and in Kosovo. Mr. Delegas served as Executive Director of Facilities and Capital Projects at The American College of Greece. He is also a former Principal at deCastro Nelson Delegas Associates.
